College of International Education has emerged from the International
Office of Ningbo Dahongying University and is responsible for the recruitment
and management of foreign teachers and international students, the operation of collaboration programs, and offering foundation courses as well as liaison services to Chinese students who are going to study abroad. In addition to the long-term Programs, CIE also offers summer camp for culture and English tuition.

The college has the following functions:
Collaboration:
　　International exchange and cooperation programs have been established between this university and other universities and colleges in many countries
such as the United States, Canada, and Australia. The mutual activities include academic visits, exchange of teachers, cooperation of research, and joint programs.
　　Since 2004, it has started collaboration with American Sentinel University,
which is an accredited, private university offering degrees in technology, business, health care and nursing. About 150 students are enrolled in this program, and 17 graduated in 2008.
　　Currently, the college is in the process of establishing cooperation with other universities, such as Arkansas State University in America, Southern Polytechnic State University in America, and Singapore Institute of Materials Management.

Foreign teachers' Recruitment and management:
　　The college is responsible for dealing with foreign teachers' affairs, including the recruitment, visa application, daily affairs' services and teaching management.

International students' administration and teaching:
　　The college is planning to recruit international students next year. Our school will be responsible for dealing with international students' affairs, which are admission, registration, visa applications and services. Meanwhile, we will offer Chinese language teaching to all international students with School of Humanities and are responsible for the development of the discipline of teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.

Others:
　　The college is also responsible for offering study tours. In 2008, it has organized two groups to American Sentinel University and University of Toronto, respectively. All the students enjoyed , and benefited from, the experience provided by these study tours.
